calculator th following can be estimated:
- The cumulative risk of an event over a particular period of time
- The risks significant morbidy and mortality of the natural history or the disease against the risks of intervention
It can be calculated,
1) based on the average life expectancy (for UK) given the patient's age or
2) for a given period i.e for the next 20 years
